Antique Daguerreotype

An antique daguerreotype picture in its original leather case; it would most likely have been made between 1839 & 1856, when daguerreotypes were replaced by other methods. It features a man in the fashion of the time, one J. Robertson. Its a little difficult to make out but the writing on the bottom of the fabric seems to say that he was 21 years old at the time. Like any daguerreotype you have to look at it at a certain angle or it just looks like a mirror. The case is 3 5/8" by 3 1/8" by 5/8" deep.
