This is a beautiful antique English creamer with hand engraved brown transferware, in the discontinued Dorset pattern. Made in England by Woods & Sons, at the Burslem Pottery. This piece dates somewhere between 1907 and 1910, as the company add "Ltd." after 1910.
This piece has a smooth finish with a texture edge and base. The design features florals combined with decorative bands. The main color is brown, with dabs of yellow, pink, purple and green that echo the enchanting countryside that gives this pattern its name.
It would make an excellent gift, as it works with many different styles from farmhouse and Victorian.
