This antique hair/hat pin is made of a silver tone metal and comes to us from the early 20th century. The pin has "toppers" on both ends that appear to be made of glass imitation pearl with a lustrous white coating. They are cool to the touch and make a high-pitched click when tapped. The lack of yellowing and visible seam marks makes a celluloid much less likely than glass, though both were popular in this era.
The pin has normal wear throughout, including tone darkening in the metal (including on the actual pin), as well as some marks in the toppers. That said, there are no cracks, dents, chips, or visible dings. The most visible imperfection in the pearls can be seen in picture 2 on the right bulb towards the middle, though even this appears to be a result of the initial coating. Finally, the silver metal at the base of the one of the bulbs (visible in pic 3) looks like it might have been glued at some point, indicating possible previous repair.
Worth mentioning: though only one end (currently) unscrews from the pin, both ends are screwed on and so may have both been able to come off at some point.
Total length: 90mm
Topper (bulb) dimensions: 25x18mm
Weight: 7.52g
