Antique E.T. Wright & Co No. 4 CB storm lantern, Canadian Kerosene Oil Lamp

An antique E.T. Wright & Co No. 4 CB (Cold Blast) Lantern, dating ca 1910s, by this iconic Canadian (Ontario based) company. It was the first year of the rounded top fount, this was done so water would roll off the top and not pool and cause rust. Sadly, the demise for the company came in 1933, when ETW was bought out by the General Steel Wares Company. This item would be perfect for an off-grid cabin as both a heat and light source, to add a rustic touch to your porch or living room, or to gift to that prepper in your life. Condition: The paint does not look original, but is attractive nonetheless. With some rust, paint chipping and small dents as seen on the images. Untested with fuel as flammable liquids would make this item impossible to ship. The bottom and base looks solid without holes or gaps. Has a (short) wick and the wheel adjuster for the wick works (not very smoothly, but does work). The original oil pan cap is present. The lantern is missing the pull ring on top (a common problem for ETW lanterns), and the cap faintly reads PAT Feb 1912. It looks to be complete otherwise with the fuel cap and clear glass chimney. It has a wire handle for carrying or hanging. The glass chimney has been marked in a fine white paint marking to the top, as has the fuel cap. The glass looks strong and whole on the top, and has roughness / chipping to the bottom ring. (not visible when in use) The lift wire to lift the globe works. Size: 14-3/4 inches tall (37 cm)
