Antique Edinburgh Crystal Goblet or Heavy Cut Crystal Compote Diamond pattern, Criss Cross Quantity: 1 Crystal Edinburgh Mark with signature E&L Made in Scotland Made by Edinburgh & Leith Glass Co, Scotland (1867 - 1955) with their mark acid etched on the base which was used between 1927 and 1939. The company became Edinburgh crystal in 1955 and was taken over in 2006 by Waterford Wedgwood and eventually the brand was discontinued in 2009. This singular goblet/compote is particularly interesting because it has the early E & L mark on the base. It was probably made ~1909-1955s. Measures approximately 5.25ins (13.5cms) high x 4.25ins (11cms) diameter at the rim. weight 385gms. In excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks and no dulling of the glass.
