This is a beautiful antique Majolica compote - cake dish rendered in the classic Aesthetic Victorian style. Tree leaf & branch motif. Traditional Majolica color combinations. It is American in origin. Signed Etruscan - Made by the maker Griffen, Smith & Hill. Maker’s mark on the underside. Circa 1880s. No damage except for some mild crazing in the glaze from age. Stunning piece. 5.25” tall 9.25” wide Base is 4.25”
