Antique majolica faience plate made by the famous french factory Choisy-le-Roi, Orchies in the north of France between 1860 - 1910.
This beautiful, highly decorated fruit pattern features three embossed apples surrounded by green leaves and brown branches on a cream color background - all highly glazed.
Back-stamped with the usual mark in black ink stamped "Choisy-le-Roi" with the large "B". The "HB" stands for Hippolyte Boulenger, a director at the pottery, whose work was some of the most beautiful produced in France.
The plate measures 8.25 inches and is in excellent condition.
