Circa 1920, an antique plastic often called celluloid, sometimes a catalin, but collected by many as “French Ivory”. This was produced as a far less expensive substitute for natural ivory. Many household items were produced in the material, from cutlery handles to clocks and trays, game pieces, vanity sets and more.
This is particularly elegant with a raised Fleur de Lis pattern. The lines in it make it look so natural it is hard to believe it is man made.
Condition is good for 100yrs old; some blemishes/ marks on face of mirror; inset trim of mirror showing join does not quite meet anymore. Please see photos and ask all questions.

fyi, just sharing, Fleur de Lis actual spelling "Fleur de Lys". Nice piece.

@ingridbergman12 very interesting comment. We always spelt it with I in school. According to internet search, both are acceptable and y is used in approximately the same frequency as I. Always interested in language, and language quirks. Have a great day
