Antique Holmes & Edwards Cutlery Conversion Ring

This unique antique overlap ring is made of a piece of Holmes & Edwards Super Plate cutlery. There are decorative elements around the ring from the original cutlery, and the inside of the ring is stamped "SUPER PLATE Holmes & Edwards". The ring has signs of wear and age, inside and out. In reference to antique cutlery, "silver-plated flatware is made by an electroplating process, where the base is usually nickel and then plated with a thin layer of pure silver.
