Antique Jugendstil WMF candlestick holders set of 2, vintage distressed Oxidized

...Britannia metal desk accessory, office study mantel decor A gorgeous pair of Jugendstil candlestick holders by renown German maker WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in a simple pattern and of good proportions. With little curly accents on the feet and simple swooping art nouveau lines to the pierced stems. Perfect to keep in your living room on the mantel, or to use during a fancy dinner party. Or keep them in the office - I have a few pieces available of this same pattern. It has clear marks on the bottom. ´B´ for Britannia metal, a little running ostrich and WMF/G for the WMF brand made for the German market and it dates it between 1910 and 1925. The I/O designated a ´normal silver coating´ and OX stands for ´oxidised silver´. It also has the number 365 Condition: With wear overall, repeated polishing over the years has worn away some of the finish and there are darker spots, scuffs, scratches overall and a few bald spots where the plating has worn away completely.
