Antique Jugendstil WMF stamp box, vintage distressed Oxidized finish Britannia

...metal pill box desk accessory, postage stamp storage box A gorgeous Jugendstil postage stamp box by renown German maker WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in a simple pattern and of good proportions. The front of the box with little curly feet and simple swooping art nouveau lines to the lid. The back with leaf-shaped struts in an elegant arc. There are 4 slots for stamps, or why not use it as a decadent pill box? It has clear marks on the back. ´B´ for Britannia metal, a little running ostrich and WMF/G for the WMF brand made for the German market and it dates it between 1910 and 1925. The I/O designated a ´normal silver coating´ and OX stands for ´oxidised silver´. The number 365 is stamped on the bottom. Condition: The body with wear overall, repeated polishing over the years has worn away some of the finish and there are darker spots, scuffs, scratches overall. The back of the box is bent, like someone has dropped it or pushed it up against something. The lid sits flush on the body, the inside of the box is very tidy. It has 4 slots for stamps. Size: almost 5 inches wide x 2-1/2 inches deep x 1 inches high (12.5 x 6.3 x 2.5 cm) The last image shows the other items I have available in the same WMF set
