Antique MOP Marcasite & Molded Art Glass Brooch

This antique brooch is made of a silver tone metal (most likely 925 sterling silver) and has an old-style simple C catch pin closure, dating it to pre-1910. The brooch is shaped like a square with beautiful swirl and cut-out detailing. It has a blue/green molded art glass of a woman's face in the middle of the piece, from which the brooch extends outwards (like the bow part of a bow tie). The brooch is styled beautifully with marcasite and mother of pearl accents. The back of the brooch is not stamped, and I could not find the maker. I did notice that the pin extends pretty far beyond the pin's catch, suggesting it was most likely made between 1850 and 1900. The back has some wear and there is some white residue around the pin closure, but the piece is in great shape overall considering the age.
