Antique hand painted cabbage rose porcelain plate. Gold along rim. Made in Austria 1884 to 1909
I believe this was once used as a dinner plate, as the outside edge of plate shows gold wear.
Beautiful plate!
Diameter: 9.5"
Backstamp: "MZ Austria"
The backstamp bears the two-headed eagle mark of MZ Austria (Altrohlau) 1884 - 1909. MZ Austria china marks were used after the Moritz Zdekauer Bank bought the Stara Role (Altrohlau) pottery works in 1884. The MZ Austria china mark was used until 1909 when the factory was sold and the MZ Altrolau mark began to be used.
Vintage Condition: NO chips. NO cracks. NO crazing. Few scratches on plate face. Gold wear on outer edge of rim.
