Antique Mauchline Ware souvenir small round box that may have been used as a needlecase. Mauchline ware got its name from the town of Mauchline in Scotland where little wooden souvenirs were made for a period of 100 years. Pictured is an image of Alloway Kirk, now a ruin in Alloway Scotland that was celebrated as the scene of the witches' dance in the poem Tam o'Shanter by Robert Burns.
