This is a lovely antique Meissen porcelain coffee pot in the "Blue Onion" floral pattern. The background color is white with a blue floral pattern hand painted around the body of the pot and on the lid. It has beautiful raised details such as a scrolled handle and spout, along with an applied rose atop the lid.
The blue crossed swords mark on the bottom has a dot between the blades which was used between 1924-1934. The crossed swords detail is repeated in the pattern on the body of the pot. See bottom left of the last photo.
The coffee pot is 10 1/2 inches tall at the top of the lid and about 7 1/2 inches from handle to spout. It is in very good condition. There is a couple of small chips to the inside lip of the lid and one on the inside lip of the pot. The is also some tiny raised bumps on the surface of the pot which, along with the grooves cut across the makers mark, leads me to believe this may have been a factory second. Please see all the photos.
