Antique Mercury Glass Bird Clip On Long Neck Bird Ornament Christmas Ornament 1

For your consideration is a wonderful antique hand blown mercury glass clip on bird , long neck bird, Christmas tree ornament, circa 1900's. This beautiful hand painted ornament is in good condition with no cracks, no repairs and showing just a minimal paint loss (see photos). It has an early style metal clip. The bird is highly sculptural with finely molded feather, breast, and wing details. The tail feathers are the original spun glass. The blown glass is very thin and fine, typical of this early era of German glass ornament making. It measures 6" long with the tail and stands just little over 3" high.
