Antique Mercury Glass Bird Clip On Parrot Ornament Christmas Ornament 1900's

For your consideration is a wonderful antique hand blown mercury glass clip on bird , a parrot, Christmas tree ornament, circa 1900's. This beautiful hand painted ornament is in good condition with no cracks or holes. There is some minimal silver paint loss near the end of the tail. It has an early style metal clip. The bird is highly sculptural with finely molded feather, breast, and wing details. The tail feathers are made out of fiber glass. The blown glass is very thin and fine, typical of this early era of German glass ornament making. It measures almost 5 1/2" long with the tail and 3 3/4" long without the tail.
