This is a captivating figural teapot, made in England from Minton(s) China. It is supposed to be a Chinese man in traditional dress holding a folk mask. The spout pours through the mouth of the mask and the handle is created from his braided hair. however there is NO lid, hence no head of the man. It is still a very unique piece to add to eclectic decor. Could be used for watering plants, or even a planter.
Measurements: 4 1/2" tall to top of lid x 6 1/4" wide spout to handle. 2 1/8" across opening.
Condition: ***There is NO LID. There are a few rubs where the cold paint has chipped off - see photo. Some crazing. NO chips.
Mintons Mark with Globe and England on bottom - circa 1891-1912.
