Hand painted set of 6 small plates by Noritake. Insets of flowers in an urn in the pastel blue rim. Plate center is a cream-ivory, not white. Edge of plate has a contrasting pattern of yellow and black. Made in Japan, circa 1920s by the Morimura Brothers of Noritake

Backstamp: "Noritake - M Wreath (Morimura Brothers) - Hand Painted Japan"
After WWI, all Noritake exports were marked "Japan" or "Made in Japan" to comply with the McKinley Tariff Act.
Vintage Condition: NO chips. NO cracks. NO crazing. Few small flecks of debris under the clear glaze. One plate has stray bits of black on the center. Utensil markings on plate faces expected with antique use.
