Antique Patch Work Reversible Dresden Quilt

Out of the 500 quilts I have sold in my career, this is one of the most unique back to front quilts I have seen. I have been in many a barns and basements hunting for quilts, and have seen just about every pattern out there but never seen so many Dresden plates of this size so close together. They feature a beautiful and unique black hand stitching. The backside is made up entirely of 1920s and 1930s, with a hint of some 1940s cottons. There is some Frankenstein stitching and repairs. And I spent about 40 hours digging arounds for exact period correct materials to make some patching possible. She’s not perfect, but that’s what makes her perfect. This has been professionally water free/liquid free dry cleaned to preserve the integrity of the cottons. There is a hand stitched “long arm” stitching throughout. This is such a special heirloom piece. I love a good quilted jacket but please don’t cut this one up lol. Her history is so rich and I have invested well over 70 hours to bring her to this point. This would make an incredible gift for a loved one.
