This is actually what’s called the “bag face” or the hand-knotted decorative front of the chuval. The backing has long been removed. This collector's piece would be perfect for hanging on the wall - a nod to its original use as a wall hanging. 4 Rings are attached for hanging display - 3 appear original with a primitive-looking weld appearance. 1 ring appears to be a modern replacement key-chain style ring.
