Antique Plate, Blackhurst and Hulme Chinese Garden Pattern, Dinner Size, Pekin

This is a gorgeous "Chinese Garden" dinner plate made by Blackhurst & Hulme, an English pottery company active from 1888 to 1932. It is deep blue transferware and features an imperial court scene from China. This is an unusual variation on Chinese Garden, as most of the dishes in the pattern were full-color transferware. Stamped on the back "Pekin", with the B&H swan mark. Measurements: 10" diameter dinner plate Condition: This is a pre-owned item with some minor wear consistent with age. There are some utensil marks, etc. No chips, cracks, or crazing. There is an interesting inclusion in the glaze - a very small pebble has lodged itself in the surface - see photo.
