Antique Plate Two Cherubim Rosenthal 1891-1906

Antique plate depicting two cherubs. Judging by the brand, this is Rosenthal & Co, Germany, 1891-1906. The plate is white in the center and sky blue around the edges. On the edge there is a relief pattern and a gold border. Approximately 8" (20.7 cm) in diameter. Given its age, this plate is in very good condition. No chips or cracks. Philip Rosenthal, founder of Rosenthal & Co, entered the porcelain industry in 1884. At first, he bought white dishes and his wife Maria painted them. Decorated crockery was sold door to door. Just 7 years later, Philip founded his first factory. The dishes made there were painted and decorated already in the workshops.
