Antique Reliable Canada Cuddlekins Baby Doll 20" Eyes Close Crying Painted Hair

Vintage baby doll. Antique from 1930-40's, similar to the Reliable Cuddlekins model. Markings on back of head say: Reliable Made in Canada. Approx 20" doll with a face, body, arms, and legs of composition made by the Reliable Toy Company. The composition head has sculpted, painted, short curly hair, blue eyes, hair eye lashes and painted brown eye brows. The eyes close when you lay it down. Limbs are attached to the stuffed body. The stuffed body MAY have been put on the doll at a later date, it is unsure if the body was originally all hard plastic. Under the cloth at the body back, can be seen a voice box, which is not working now, but originally likely made a crying noise. Baby has a closed red painted mouth, with teeth, a tiny dimple in the chin. Comes with nightie and bloomers, which are likely not the original clothes.
