This set was sold by Walter Semple Jr., a Glasgow jeweler who succeeded Daniel Douglas at 420 Argyle Street in the early 1900s. The original retailer’s label inside the case reads:
Walter Semple, Jr. (Late D. Douglas), Jeweller, Glasgow
This confirms an Edwardian era date, circa 1906–1912.

Condition:
Good antique condition. All pieces have been gently polished and retain some age-appropriate patina. The fitted case shows wear consistent with age but remains structurally sound with intact lining and working hinges; the top shows some old tape.
