Bought in Sri Lanka in 2006, but these are much older than that.
Sterling silver and garnet
Each earring is missing one of the dangles.
The silver is quite tarnished.
They are in fact sterling without a designation mark. I tested them years ago. There is some cupric colour (greenish) at the solder joins.
These are old and so beautiful!
