A charming Edwardian perfume bottle with a faceted crystal stopper, mounted in sterling silver and assayed at Birmingham in 1915. The collar bears full English hallmarks, including the lion passant, anchor, and the date letter q, along with the maker’s mark DL, which can be attributed to Schindler & Co, specialists in fine silver-mounted vanity goods of the early 20th century.
The glass body features elegant paneled and wave decoration, and the stopper sparkles beautifully in the light. As with many bottles of this age, there is a stress crack extending downward from the collar, but the bottle remains stable and perfectly suited to display. The sterling collar shows gentle age patina, which can be polished if desired or left as-is for a period look.
A beautiful piece of Edwardian vanity silver, perfect for collectors of antique dressing table items, or as a decorative touch in a modern home with vintage flair.
