Antique Textbook, The Jones Readers By Grades, Book Six, Ginn and Company 1904

This book is an antique school reader, "The Jones Readers by Grades, Book Six". It is published by Ginn and Company in 1904. It has olive green cloth covered boards with black lettering and scroll work against a red field on the front cover. The back cover has the publishers emblem in black outline with red accents. The spine had black lettering but is badly suntanned and worn. It is a 288 page book that contains many black and white illustrations from various sources to compliment the excerpts from authors such as: George Eliot, Kipling, Longfellow, Scott, Byron, Emerson, Coleridge, Cervantes, Swift, etc. It is in very good condition. There is some wear, loss and discoloration to the covers and spine along with bumped corners. The pages are very clean with the odd smudge. There is a very small hole from the removal of a previous sticker in one of the front end pages. The binding is intact and sound. Please see the photos. This book would be ideal for homeschool, your own collection or as a story book for your favorite child.
