Rare and unique antique 1800s Late Victorian painted cast iron piece made to look like a lady's button boot. Interestingly, this was originally attached at the base of an early department store mannequin! It is *very* heavy but hollow now, so it could be used as a vase for dried floral arrangements (though it can't hold water due to bottom seam and small opening where it used to be secured to mannequin base) or door stop, etc. Truly, it is an incredible curio!
Approximate Measurements:
8 1/4" high
9 5/8" length
The opening of the boot is approx 3" diameter x 2 3/4" diameter
Condition: good antique condition. Some minor damage, dings, marks, and wear on black paint on piece. The white paint dots on the top two "buttons" have worn away over time and the third from the bottom is partially gone. Minor oxidation on bottom, and along bottom seam. Otherwise, this boot has so much charm and antique character!
