Antique Victorian Ruby Red Engraved Goblets

Gorgeous + Very Unique 1800s to Early 1900s Antique Pair Of Bohemian Czech Ruby Red Flashed Glass Engraved Etched Goblets. Hard To Find Old Pieces Which Are Very Cool To Have As A Matching Pair. These Thick Cut Goblets Have A Heavy Base And Were Flashed With A Thin Layer Of Ruby Red Casing Over The Clear Glass. They Have A Cut Faceted Glass Geometric Pattern On The Lower Half And A Beautifully Individually Engraved Floral Leaf And Foliage Design Which Surrounds A Monogram Which I Believe Is H.E.K. Both Engravings Are Different As They Were Done By Hand. It Is Possible These Could Have Been Handcrafted As Souvenir Items For A Traveler In The Victorian Era Sold At Fairs Or Train Stations. Given The Initials, They Were Most Likely Bought As A Remembrance Of Their Adventure. Each measure 5 5/8 inches high x 2 3/4 inches wide at the base. The Top measures 3 3/8 inches across. Very Good Condition For Their Age. There Are Some Nicks And Scratches And Wear Throughout On The Ruby Flashing I Think Most Of This Is Fairly Minimal Knowing How Old They Are And The Glass Itself Has Some Nips And Nicks Here And There Along Some Of The Edges. There Is A Slight Nick On The Ruby Edge Above The Monogram On One Glass But It Does Seem To Have Red Flashing Over It So It May Have Been Nicked Before The Ruby Was Applied. Both Have Scratching On The Base. Overall Very Nice Old Pieces With Some Age Related Wear And Imperfections.
