Antique Violin-Scottish-Original Neck/1Part Back! 18th Century! Master Fiddle

18th Century Violin! w/ original Baroque neck No graft! attached the old scottish/english way w/ 1 screw thru the top block.NOT B.O.B construction! Fully lined+blocked. there is old shim under fingerboard to raise the height to modern standards. all sign says this is transitional period instrument (late 17th to early19th century) from when people were upgrading old baroque violins&converting them to modern standards.Has original small old British style baroque bass bar.inside are old repair labels: ÆShilling 1891 stratton, AE shilling first bought '81, fundy Co NIF? (no idea what this means but there was an old sailing company that operated out of the bay of fundy Canada that went back&forth to the UK through out the history of the company 1600s-1860s) & initials: "M.R.T". or "M.F.T." various old repairs all solid&pro. Beautiful Master Fiddle has very high arching&wide grain,typical of old english&scottish high bellied violins of the 17th&18th centuries. violin has loud warm deep tones&sings amazingly. includes usable hard case.it is full of peculiarities& is very playable ,wing cracks at the sound holes indicate it is old.in my professional violinist opinion i guessed 1760s-1790 UPDATE: i showed the violin to expert& they say it is definitely late 18th century Scottish Provincial work, from Edinburgh or northeast Scotland (ABERDEEN)it is a Jacobite Revival period violin! amazing. rare opportunity to own a piece of scottish history.
