Antique apothecary bottle with cup lid ol pini sylv, rheumatism cure medicine

...bottle A smaller antique handmade glass apothecary bottle with pouring top and matching cup lid, late 1800s. The side has been hand painted in black on gold 'Ol: Pini. Sylv' and covered in a now crackled and yellowed varnish. (Oleum pini sylvestris, or Fir-Leaf Oil, was traditionally used as a liniment to cure rheumatism) The pouring top has break and crack lines but seems sturdy. There is an air hole around the back for ease of pouring. The thick glass round cup fits well onto the body and an airtight seal could be created with vaseline. One part has been ground flat so it sits well on any table surface. The rim nibbled and chipped. The bottom of the bottle with ground pontil mark and some small air bubbles.
