Antique brass and mother of pearl opera glasses, made in France

Gavet, Paris. Estimated around 1890. Absolutely beautiful opera / theatre glasses in their original leather case. They are made of mother of pearl and brass and still work with all lenses in great condition. The dial to adjust lens length also works (photo is included where the lenses are extended out). This piece is in great antique condition. There is a lovely patina which has not been removed. Signs of use on the body and natural variations in the MOP but no major damage. On the left eye cup you can see one small chip on the pearl inset between the lens and the ‘V’ in Gavet. This is a stunning collectors piece and so beautiful in person.
