...Ludgate Hill London 1887 by J.F. Jarvis Underwood A set of 3 antique photographic stereo cards from the UK: 1. H.R.H. The Prince of Wales - who would later become King Edward the VIII. He was born June 23, 1894 and received the title Prince of Wales in 1911. He is shown in Army uniform in a chateau in France, assuming during WWI, which would make the date of this image ca 1914, and his age 20 years old. The card is stamped "By Royal Command to their Imperial Majesties King George V and Queen Mary" and "Realistic Travels London Cape Town Bombay Melbourne, Toronto". A clean image with good contrast and detail and only slight curving of the stock card. The back of the card is blank. 2. 258 Beefeaters at the tower. The stock card is unmarked for a photographer or publisher. The image with nice strong contrast and nice detailing and only mild surface wear. The backing card with discoloration around the edges, a few dark spots and some nibbling to the edges. The card is still quite flat, which is unusual for these images. The back of the card is blank.
