Antique sterling & marcasite cross pendant by Heintz Bros., New York

A small but beautifully detailed piece, this pendant has a timeless feel, but is likely at least a century old. It measures about 1-1/4" X 7/8", with a pretty bail that can accommodate a fine to medium thick chain. Marked HB Sterling. The conjoined HB was the mark of Heintz Bros. of New York, a company active in the late 19th and early 20th century. In very good condition, with some light superficial scatches on the back.
