Antique 1920 St Patrick's Day postcard of a maiden in green white with caption "A daintier maiden never was seen, Than this dear little sweet one, Irish Colleen, She is making for you, a courtesy so gay, Because she is happy on St Patrick's Day. This card holds true is a special reminder of days gone by that still hold true today. A special card and fun to give for those who enjoy being a receiver of a card that holds meaning when its is over 100 years old. A piece of history special feelings.
Postcard is signed by Ellen H. Clapsaddle on front. The back of postcard is stamped International Art Publishing Company, New York Berlin, Printed in Germany. Card was sent in March 1914.
Bottom says "The Morn's Mornin to You".
Card sent in a special envelope to preserve shape. Please note that this card has been kept for many years. It has a note on that back the recipient " has not been forgotten". It has a very tiny corner edge on bottom right missing but adds to the antique/vintage look. A very cute special postcard someone will enjoy.
Note: A special feature of the 1900s post card is a two-dimensional feature you can see if laid sideways. It imprints fine features & makes a raised effect which is unique for the 1900s it seems.
