Arabia Finland Valencia Ulla Procope Pedestal Candle Holder

Beautiful vintage ceramic candle holder designed by Ulla Procope for Arabia in Finland. It is hand-painted, and it shows beautiful graduations of cobalt blue according to the amount of the ink especially under sun light. There are no chips or cracks, and overall, it is in excellent vintage condition. Arabia introduced this beautiful pattern "Valencia" in the 1960s, and each piece is hand painted under glazed in cobalt blue. This pattern was the masterpiece of its designer artist Ulla Procope (1921-1968), who worked for Arabia from 1948 to 1968. This Valencia tableware production discontinued in 2002.
