Ariel Little Mermaid Disney Aqua Fantasy Film Premiere Edition Doll 1997 Mattel

Up for sale is a vintage Disney Princess doll of Ariel made by Mattel in 1997. The doll is called “Aqua Fantasy” and it’s part of a doll series with a theme of Film Premiere fashions. Ariel is wearing a mermaid dress that would be a unique red carpet look for her to wear to The Little Mermaid premiere. The doll is still new in the box, but the sticker seal at the top of the box was opened by the previous owner, so the tray for the doll can be removed from the outer box. The doll is still firmly attached to the tray. The doll has beautiful beading & pearl detail and an elegant mermaid dress/tail. Ariel’s hair is in an updo, but as the hair was arranged with elastics and the elastics are almost 30 years old, they’ve all started to disintegrate or stick in place. The elastics should be removed and replaced if you want to remove the doll from the box for display. Due to the age of the doll, there may be wear to the fabric, plastic or stitching. From the box, she looks great, but just a warning as this is a vintage item. The certificate of authenticity, warranty paper and a cardboard piece to hold the box open for display is included. There is tape residue on the warranty and cardboard piece. The box has some wear and tear and creasing. Please see photos. There are signs of wear in all parts of the box including the inner tray with the doll. All parts for the doll are included. The stand is still in place in the cardboard tray.
