Art Deco Chrysoprase Sterling Silver Pendant

This has been in my collection for about 12 years: one of those favourites but not worn often pieces. It is an antique, not “in the style of” or revival. Kind of a cross between Arts and Crafts and Art Deco, which shared some crossover years. I have never figured out the black part…some sort of shale or something, where the hammered silver is attached to. The 2 minty green stones are Chrysoprase stones. Hallmarked with an obscured maker’s mark and sterling as shown 1 &3/8” long by 1 &1/8” wide The oblong bale adds an extra 1/4” length. This beautiful unique piece is in excellent condition for age. There are a couple small flea bites to the edge of the shale material. Very inconsequential.
