Incredible colour to this type of glass! Known as Opaline glass, this was popular in the Art Deco period to about the late 40’s and was most often found in Japanese made pieces.
This set of earrings has a reverse carved depiction of Mount Fuji on the dangles and the upper Opaline is faceted.
Marked SILVER (Japanese mark) on the backs of the screws and they have a maker’s mark as shown along the rear silver part leading to the drops.
I have included a photo of a nice add-on necklace of the same style, age and origin, listed separately.
The earrings are in excellent vintage condition!
The silver is rhodium plated to keep from tarnishing so they are beautifully bright.
1.5” long
3/4” across the drops
1/4” across the faceted stones
10.4 grams for the pair
