Art of Dressmaking - Butterick - 1927 Hard Cover Book on the art of sewing plus tips on fabric laundering, cleaning and repair, and techniques that are germane to fabric care and sewing of your vintage clothes and linens! This is a detailed book in the art of dressmaking and sewing - you'll find tips including hand stitching, patterning with plaid material, altering garments, lace edging and different stitching techniques and so much more! There are wonderful illustration within the book and the instructions and advice are easy to understand. Condition is good - there are wear marks on the edges and a very slight loosening of the binding, however it is still bound strongly and all the pages are intact. Pages are not mouldy or smelling of dust. The cloth cover is faded and there are spots on different areas - see photos. There is no writing in the book or cut - outs. Book measures 8.5"L x 5.5" W x 1" Depth. Dog figurine not included. He was just helping out to hold the pages down. Woof, Woof!!
