Possibility of delivery in Montreal and Ottawa during Canada post strike. Literally a museum piece. Rare. Fr.the early 1970's & fr.the home in Ste Adèle, P.Q of the famous enamel on copper artisan couple « de Passillé-Sylvestre”. These 2 artists-artisans have received many honours & have pieces shows in museums internationally. Were selected by various levels of Canadian governments to be suppliers of official gifts to international royalties, celebrities & other members of the jet set society in the 1960's. Thru my job at the time, I was was privy to the very high prices paid for those gifts by the city of Montreal & you are definitively getting a bargain 4 this piece, made at a time when the 2 artists had a direct & significant input in the production of their signed pieces. The belt is stamped w/their names. In real leather: patent black outer & tan inner. Buckle designed by Micheline; it is a square of copper covered w/enamel. Front design is a golden sun w/a deep red (burgundy) centre on black. Total length: about 36 inches Length between last hole and pin under the buckle: 33 inches (this is the useful length but you could probably extend it by 1.5 inch by adding another hole). The sides of the buckle square measure about 3 inches. I do not see any major flaw. One corner of the buckle is indented a wee bit but this is a minimal default. The price (ridiculously low considering the quality & rarity of this piece) takes into account this minor flaw. (Mbr) L
