I have a question - since April I’ve had lots of people try to get me to contact them via email or text...I read that this was a scam so I just usually tell them I don’t sell off Posh. What is the deal with them? Do I report them?(I emailed Posh about it and got some canned “See the FAQ” response. Not too helpful. Any insight??? Thanks!! 😊

mysticalblue @arasevera 🌸Hun, don't talk to them, it is spam. What you do is The same as when you're sharing, it pops up options at the bottom like the Share, Bundle, Dressing Room, click on the bottom option in Red that says REPORT THIS ITEM! That way Poshmark will receive the listing. A couple months back, spammers were real bad on all the selling apps. I got several of them myself. (Cont)

They want your email address so they can tell you they want to buy and they try to get information from you so that the money can be brought to you.They tried all kinds of tricks I've had several different things happened to me. they will send a message and ask is a certain item still for sale. So, be careful, and if you think it's suspicious, just report it. If you need anything else, let me know.

I guess do the same thing when people try to get you to take a transaction to other sales apps (some Japanese app is common)...I always ck their profiles - usually they have nothing listed and are connected to only one other user.

arasevera @nabernard NO WAY!!! Small world...nope didn’t know Poshfest was going to be in CT! I was a police officer, EMT and paralegal when in CT. Now, I’m up in MA - I moved here in 99 - married my hubby (a hs teacher) in 2002, so we are stuck here until he’s done teaching. arasevera @robbiesmalez nope. I was. Waste of time/money. I can’t compete with the overseas mass-produced junk that is on there. I was in the same studio bldg with a girl doing the Etsy scam thing - pathetic. My stuff is real, made from raw materials, by me!! 😊 I do sell, sort of, via Insta and Facebook. Until Posh, i did mostly commissions for unique pieces/unconventional materials and sold during all the art shows in Boston. I live in central ma now, no, not much chance to exhibit.

robbiesmalez @arasevera oh, I wasn't aware of the mass overseas junk...my sister in law sells there and does GREAT! I'M surprised, especially since there's the cheap stuff, hers is pretty good. Not like yrs tho. I made jewelry 4 a bit, but lost interest n it, what a shame huh. Oh well, developed more interests!!

momsing3 Hello, I’m very new and just added my first 8 items. Your jewelry is fantastic! I love it. I’m confused and need a few tips, thought you might have a word of advice. So, I see a lot of people have a listing “Meet the Posher”, is this just done on the sell button? And what are the parties? There is not a lot of info on what to do after posting your items. I noticed I received a lot of notifications of people following me. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!😊

arasevera @momsing3 hi!!! Sure - this may go into 2 messages b/c there is a word limit. Ok, parties: org by posh and “hosted” by Poshers they select somehow, a party is just a place to share your items to to get them seen by a lot of people. You don’t have to hang out there, just share the applicable items and that’s it!

arasevera Following/followers: it’s a bit like Facebook - everyone that follows you will see your “shares to followers” in their “news feed” - if they check it a lot. I ck maybe once a day, but I guess others read the feed religiously. The more you have the more chance your items have to be seen. It’s a marketing network of sorts!

arasevera @momsing3 Ok...Meet the Posher lusting—yes, created using “Sell” - you will note about half don’t have one. I like it b/c it gives people a chance to be friendly. What I dislike (and is against PM rules) is the begging and self-promotion posts. (Sigh. I just follow back) When you sign up, the app creates one for you, but I deleted mine b/c I didn’t like it. You can make closet announcement banners and chat rooms and stuff the same way-just click “sell.”

arasevera @momsing3 An Ambassador is picked by PM for having a “posh compliant closet,” fast shipping times, 5 star feedback etc. it shows others you are trusted by the company.?You get sent a lot of new people to welcome and and questions. That’s about it. Remember, sharing IS marketing. Make sure your descriptions are clear and contain words people will search for. Always list brands for example. (This is a pet peeve of mine-I could write a book about listing!)

I usually solder 2 pieces together for my jewelry but it would def help me to cut that part out :) for the bird necklaces do you carve the stone? Could you do a custom piece? I have some really lovely stones, I haven't listed any yet I don't know if you ever need stones - I have one listing for mixed stones ☺

I have several pieces of it...I have some AMAZING boulder opals I bought a few yrs ago that need to be set-I’m thinking a freeform style prong setting would be a nice contrast to the crisp edges the lapidary dude gave these stones. Do you wire wrap? I’ve tried but I’m not the greatest at it. Seems like I’m destined to work with fire instead!

On adjustable leather cord. 24.5” long - with key (2.6”) ~ 27” Can remove bird if you’d like -make a longer cord too. It’s key-mate sold locally here in MA for $50 - I can create a bundle with all 3 items for you for $55 + Posh shipping. I can work with you even more if you bundle other stuff.
