Ashford Drop Spindle

This was my first introduction to the mechanics of spinning and I as my skills progressed I have acquired a collection of spinning wheels, so.... fair warning ⚠ spinning is addictive and probably should come with a warning label. On my walks, when the weather is fit to have bare hands, I love to drop spindle to while the time a bit more productively. It's been a great conversation starter. It' a great activity to teach kids and it's easy to pick up and put down without messing anything up. In very good condition. Round part (called a whorl) is ~3.25" across, the shaft is ~9.25" long and weighs ~ 2.3oz. Solid beech hardwood. 1st photo from the web last 2 are of drop spindle for sale
