Asian Blue and white ceramic chicken trinket box, nesting hen ink box, sweetener

...snuff box, antique ceramic lidded animal box A sweet little ceramic blue on white handmade and hand painted chicken container, the bottom signed in underglaze blue. Likely originally for ink, or a small amount of powders (matcha tea, mustard, snuff). Also perfect as a little trinket box for a few pieces of jewellery, or keeping Stevia sweetener pills on the coffee table. The whites are slightly greyish. Exact age and maker unknown, likely Chinese or Japanese in origin. Condition: Good! The box has some scratches on the underside and the raw edges looks orange burnt in the kiln. Some roughness to the bottom (part of the production and original to the piece) Size: 3 1/4" long x 1 7/8" wide x 2 3/4" tall (8.3 x 4.8x 7 cm)
