Authentic 1966 Men’s Crombie Top Coat Navy Herringbone Pure Wool

This is a vintage 1960’s mens chesterfield or overcoat made under the world famous Crombie of Aberdeen, Scotland label, sold by Coward Clothes Shops, Toronto in 1965-66. The coat is made of the finest quality virgin wool in a colour so dark blue that it looks black - maybe it is black but with a bluish cast. Herringbone detail revealing more bluish hints in bright light. It has wide notched lapels and does up with three large buttons at the front. There is a flapped patch pocket at either side, and slit breast pocket and inner pocket. The shoulders are squared and padded and the sleeves have a single button at each cuff. It has a 18 1/2” kick vent at the back and the coat is fully lined in a black satin acetate fabric. Sizing: No size is indicated, but it should fit a size 40/42 - please rely on the following measurements for fit: Shoulders: 19” across seam-to-seam Sleeves: 33” long from the middle shoulder seam Pit to pit: 20” flat Overall length: 41” Condition: It is in mint, very clean condition with no wear, tear, staining or odors, looks like it saw little, if any, use and was well stored over the years.
