The Bamileke tribes of Cameroon have been making the feather headdress for centuries. They are a symbol of prosperity and freedom, and have been traditionally worn by royal dancers during ceremonies held by tribal chiefs. The artisans of Cameroon meticulously handcraft each Juju from beautiful bird feathers and sew them on to a raffia support base. Each one takes 2 to 3 days to complete, so no two are exactly the same. The Juju can be neatly folded in on itself for easy transportation or storage.
