Authentic Coat of Arms Vintage .925 Sterling Silver Class Ring School Ring Collegiate Ring Academia circa 1960s 1970s. This ring is a legit vintage piece from OSCVI with Latin motto: "Dum Vivimus Vivamus" - translates as "While We Live, Let Us Live" . This is often associated with an Epicurean declaration denoting "the good life" . OSCVI - Owen Sound Collegiate and Vocational Institute - was founded in the 1850s becoming a famous Vocational Institute in the 1920s. Distinguished OSCVI alumni include: WWII Flying Ace Billy Bishop (namesake for Toronto's downtown airport), Agnes MacPhail (Canada's first female Member of Parliament), Norman Bethune (internationally renowned surgeon). Approx size 8, as-new condition, hallmarked STERLING on inside band, and a gorgeous enamel Coat of Arms w: Maple Leaf Garlands, Beaver above 3-part Crimson Shield w/ Sterling Globe, Crossed Anvil and Chisel, Open Book. The silver has a beautiful and bright polish, and the enamel on the beautiful Coat of Arms is near-fully intact with small surface scratches just visible under magnification (see photos).
