The Cheval d'Orient collection pays homage to the equestrian origins of Hermès and evokes the silk caravans and the conviviality of the Orient, drawing inspiration from Persian miniatures from the 15th and 16th centuries. It is based on technical prowess: the use of 29 colors on decorations specific to each of the 55 references for lunch, dinner, tea/coffee and decorative objects. Cheval d'Orient revisits the shapes and dimensions of the great classics of Western tableware: cup on pedestal or tureen with elegant open handles.
