Authentic Michel Perry black leather ankle wrap platform sandals, EU40, EUC

These striking wrapped and tied black leather platform sandals were designed by the 'King of Heels', as Michel Perry is known in France. I'm not inclined to argue with that title, as his designs are always works of art. This pair is perfectly balanced and proportioned. Despite Michel Perry being a French designer, the shoes are hand-made in Italy. Because OF COURSE they are. The supple grainy nappa leather ankle wraps are substantial enough to give some excellent sculptural effects - no matter how you tie them, they always look like you have ravens flying off your ankles, so make sure you wear them with something short enough to show them off. Marked size EU40, they are a perfect fit for my size 9.5 feet. The footbed measures a little over 10.25", and given the open toe and heel, should easily fit up to a size 10 foot. Only worn twice, both times to red carpet events, so the soles are barely even scuffed. I noticed a couple of minor surface scuffs on a heel while taking photos, but I applied a light coat of leather rejuvenator, and the scuffs are gone now. Despite the daunting 5.5" heels and 1.5" platforms, these are stable and comfortable to strut around in. But more to the point, they are an exquisitely beautiful statement shoe, especially if your statement happens to be, "I am the Goddess of Creatures of The Night, Behold My Magnificence!" IYKYK, Michel Perry shoes are scarce and coveted by shoe connoisseurs.
